WRITE ME A LETTER:

I’m waiting in a waiting room,
People come & go,
Collecting paper packages,
In pursuit of a little peace,

A Blue chair with chromium legs,
Sidles up to me,
A row of low padded chairs stare at me,
Backs against the wall,
Watching,
Waiting,
With blank expressions,
As if I’m supposed to do something great,
Like I’ve got the answer,

I’m no prophet,
I’m a washing machine,
A dog in a basket,
Going round & round,
Circling in pursuit of a little peace
