A room of empty tables,
Solitary men clutch mugs of heat,
And stare into space,

Here comes my relief,
A blessing,
The name of a Spanish city,
Called by an excited voice,

Conversations about food,
Pass time between them,
Wet feet walk through the streets outside in Summer plimsoles,
Discretely tattooed ankles exposed,

A blind dog leads a blind man into an empty shopping mall,
A Grey man,
Dressed in stone-washed denim,
Walks with tiny steps,
A thin man carries a cardboard box with pride,
Radiant to have finally acquired the thing inside
