Legs pump bicycle pedals,
Crossing traffic,
Crossing tram lines,
Trains snake between cars,
Between buildings,
Loom close,
Eyes pressed against windows,
Stare in at tourists eating buffet breakfasts,

The pen curls across the page,
But I’m not here,
