IMAGINARY SUN:
Sun hides behind pastel cloud spread thin with a sky knife,
micro fine rain. Drive the back roads, listening to ‘CAVALO‘
by Rodrigo Amarante brings the heat of the sun back, makes me
feel good for a crazy day.

I think these 70’s guys really understand the experience I’m having now.
She came from somewhere back in Him long ago
Sentimental fool don’t see
Trying hard to recreate what has yet to be created
Once in His life He musters a smile for Her nostalgic tale
Never coming near what She wanted to say
Only to realize it never really was
He had a place in Her life
She always made Him think twice
As She rises to His apology
Anybody else would surely know
She’s watching Him go
What a fool believes She sees
No wise woman has the power to reason away
What seems to be is always better than nothing
And nothing at all keeps leading Her
Somewhere back in His long ago
Where She can still believe there’s a place in His life
Someday somewhere He will return
What is in the thornbush?

The Mother Of A Dog is bringing in the light, the heat and the joy to me. I’m deeply in love with the guitar in the middle of the song. I don’t know how many times I’ve listened to it by now but it just keeps getting better.
…and some oldies of course 🙂
