A LEAF:
We closed the latest Manchester Street Poem project yesterday,
Breaking hearts,
Smiles,
Hugs,
Tears,
Speeches of thanks and inspiration,
We’ve gained more than we thought possible,
All we did was turn up and listen,
Made some marks,
Wrote some stories,
Hung some cardboard on the walls of an old railway arch,
And connected with everyone who showed up

TWO SETS OF TWINS:
Mini buses,
Back roads,
Sat navs,
Security gates,
Wristbands,
Fields

THE TWINS:
Aeroplanes,
Clouds,
Tarmac,
Painted arrows

CRACK BEFORE D:
Breakfast on the 14th floor,
Glass lifts,
Tiny pink drinks with straws,
Good morning,
Classy
(K)

CRACK:
In Barcelona,
My room has a window shaped like an eye,
The bed is levitating in the middle of the room

DOUBLE D:
You were never were a happy drunk,
You said you’d given up,
I like you when you’re sober
(K)

We drove,
The moon was full and bright,
Listening to music,
Eventually

Covered in paint,
Walking in a cardboard world
