SUMMER’S HIBERNATION:

Now I’m sitting in an empty room,
It’s quiet,
And birdsong,
And sunrise,
And a Black & White picture of hairy cows,
A mist on rolling hills,
And silence

Now I’m in a strange house,
I’ve been driving for hours,
It’s my birthday,
Hooray!
I got in late last night,
Driven through the rain in a Silver car,
By an eternally smiling man,
Who offered me water,
And temperature change,
I gave him a tip when he got me home safe,
It was a good night,
But I was falling to bits
