BEAUTIFUL DIRTY THINGS:
A man walks in with a camera on his head,
Dressed as an exclamation mark,
Starts talking to the woman dressed in flowers,
I check for dogs,
But there are none

BEAUTIFUL DIRTY THINGS:
A man walks in with a camera on his head,
Dressed as an exclamation mark,
Starts talking to the woman dressed in flowers,
I check for dogs,
But there are none

BEYOND THE INFINITE BLUE:
He counts the stars above their heads and smiles,
Happy with what he sees,
The man with the target on his back smiles to himself,
Satisfied that the woman dressed in flowers knows he exists,
The woman in flowers smiles to herself,
He’s the first man to notice her all day,
Nobody speaks,
There are no dogs,
The walls start singing again
(K)

HARDCORE:
The wall across the room turns into a 1950’s rock-n-roll band,
As a man walks in,
Deliberate & silent,
He stands in the middle of the room looking up,
Straight through the ceiling,
Through the roof,
Through the clouds,
Through daylight,
He sees the stars,
And nobody knows,
There are no dogs to explain,
So the woman in flowers,
And the man in a target,
Think he’s just here for coffee
(Listening to: Geir Sundstol – Brodlos)

A BRUTAL INTERSECTION:
A smiling man appears,
Dressed as an explorer,
“I used to work here”,
He says,
And starts serving tables for old times,
As the second dog turns into a human baby,
To make the man & woman talk in soft tones,
Then leads them out & down the street,
Smiling at one another

STILL LIFE WITH BOTTLE:
He keeps asking her something in whispers,
She keeps telling him,
“No”,
But the sparkle in her voice says,
“Yes”,
And she knows it,
I don’t think she knows I’m still here either
(K)

FOURTEEN:
When I look again,
The room is empty,
The wall furthest from me,
Absentmindedly transforms into a modern jazz ensemble,
I don’t think it would’ve done that,
Had it realised I was still here,
The woman covered in flowers re-appears,
Laughs,
Turns to the target man,
Emerging from a room behind her,
And says,
“I’m the statue of limitations”
There are still no dogs
(K)

LIGHT BOX:
A man appears with a target on his back,
Starts talking to a woman covered in flowers,
She says,
“I’m not a horse”
And it’s obvious,
But it makes me wonder if people keep telling her she is,
Maybe she needs a dog?
Someone with a grip on reality,
The man with the target on his back starts walking like a penguin,
Making the sound of a ringing telephone,
Then,
Starts talking,
To no one,
It goes silent,
There are no dogs
(K)

UNTRAINED FOOT:
Just then,
Another dog walks in,
Leading another couple to a table,
She sits them down,
Lies on the floor at their feet,
And makes them talk to each other
(K)

POLISHED CONCRETE:
The people with the dog are talking with their mouths & hands,
As the dog rests under the table,
He’s a ventriloquist,
Everything that comes out of their mouths,
Actually comes from the dog,
He’s very clever like that,
He’s renowned,
For being able to hold complex conversations with himself,
He notices me writing everything down,
And asks,
“Are you going to be a problem?”
(Litening to: Jessica Sligter – ‘Polycrisis: Yes!’)
(K)

LUMINOUS ROOF:
The man in the distance turns into a small Black tower,
Or maybe dark Blue,
Or maybe it’s my imagination,
The dog lies under a table where he’s lead the two people to sit,
He looks up at me & says,
“No, he actually ‘did’ turn into a tower,
but you weren’t meant to see that”
And, for some reason, I’m not surprised the dog is talking,
I have this feeling it’s happened before,
The dog says,
“In the morning, you wont remember this conversation –
look into my eyes”
