TREE:
This is the slap,
This is the swim,
This is the boat that leans away from the wind

TREE:
This is the slap,
This is the swim,
This is the boat that leans away from the wind
(K)

PAPER PANDA:
This is the Moon & seven birds,
This is the bus arriving,
This is a warm stone
(K)

BONES:
A voice,
Deep in the palm of a hand,
Eyes,
Wasted behind shades,
Watch,
Waits for conversation
Corner table,
The arriving & the leaving
The cool,
Is getting older,
The seasons take a little piece,
Coffee & a chaser,
Everything tastes better,
If you want to pay by cash you’ll have to come inside
(K)

THREE DIGITS:
Are you ready?
Right,
Let’s go for it,
We should take a picture of it,
It looks amazing!
(K)

MY BAG:
You come to me with whispering voice,
Trouble,
The smell of toast makes everything better,
Breakfast,
What’s your fancy in the sun?
Phone call,
Read the small print,
Translator,
Full-head floater,
Delivering words on the wind,
A plastic bag,
Announces the leaving,
Higher than birds
(K)

INFINITE TAP:
Man in a Blue hat dance,
Wind,
Blue eyes hidden behind Blue mirrors,
Men shouting deep at a TV on the wall,
Girlfriend looks at me,
Juice arrives,
Smiling

TIN CAN CATHEDRAL:
The father puts his arm around the son,
The son counts off numbers on his fingers,
The father walks away,
The son cleans up the debri,
The father is gone,
The son stops working for the first time in years,
Looks around,
Missing his father,
And the mother of his unborn child,
Waiting for him to bring home the bacon,
She lives miles away,
He wishes she was here,
He wishes he was there,
In two places,
Home,
The old & the new,
Always a longing for the other,
Relief at arriving & leaving
(K)

BIG WHEEL:
People come out,
People go in,
Suddenly I’m surrounded by people,
Walking at night,
Dressed for summer,
Some need a shower!
Some with fierce tans,
Some walking sideways mumbling,
I receive messages,
Pictures from places,
Faces turn,
Inquisitive,
A Yellow dog pulls a woman in a Blue summer dress with a Pink rope,
A ceramicist follows with Silver hair,
Dressed causally Yellow,
Serene,
An orchestra plays a sombre underscore,
In the garden,
As the credits roll,
Between Lemon trees,
At the end of the film

THE DOOR TO SOMEWHERE ELSE:
The music makes my toes curl,
The kind they play when you get a massage,
That I always ask to be turned off,
(Politely),
Well,
This is worse,
It’s got fake strings,
Imaginary bigness,
Swells of plastic emotions fill an otherwise perfect evening,
It stops suddenly,
A distorted voice says,
(Deep & low),
“Test”
Fantastic!
Here comes the night,
Announced with a beautiful imperfection,
That makes small children laugh,
And families stop eating to gasp
(K)

TWO DIMENSIONAL WORLD:
Shadow,
Pleasing & warm,
Everybody funky,
I’m listening,
Remaining cool,
The things you sent,
With good intent,
Could start a fire in this heat!
