Wednesday 5th July

THE BEST OF DAYS:

We formed the band in 2013,
Hit it off straight away,
A no-brainer project,
With people I instantly liked & trusted,

No small thing for a mis-trusful Brummy,

They walked into my lives at the right time,
With an idea for a project that had all the right ingredients,
A concept based on a cartoon that had triggered a thought,

Scott brought focus & drive & relentless passion,
Simon turned words into fabulous paintings,
We jumped in a car & drove,

And we laughed a lot together,
Mostly at me,
Which was liberating,

Today,
The last day of the tour,
I am gutted

Sunday 2nd July

SATURDAY PROCESSION FOR THE SUN:

She’s painted on the side of a bus,
holding her hat on,
Shining,

All the boys ride by,
Flags flying,

Throaty in leathers,
Waving for cameras,

Leans out of shadows,
From under the moon

Saturday 1st July

CRACK AT IT:

Everybody scatter,
Everybody gather,
Watch your back,
OK?

Everybody rock from side-to-side,
Everybody come into the centre,
Do you get me?

It’s almost foolproof,
Unless you’re following a fool,
So is everybody clear on what’s happening?

Make that sound of a balloon expelling air,
Yeah,
Fast lips,

Everybody back to the beginning,
Doors closed,
Shall we have a crack at it?
