Moving in the dark with the lights on,
Cat jumps out of it’s chair,
Running round the kitchen scared,
Everything surprising,
Everything the same,

Messages on bedside tables tumble,
Piles of clothes snag feet,
Waiting in bathrooms,
Squinting into crude light,
Numb on the inside,
Rain on the outside,
Knees around the chin,
